This article will show you how to change the "Job Category" field from the "Job Detail" screen. This is useful for designating categories for your jobs to filter reports or for specific functions in CLIP that utilize the job category field.
From the "Job Detail" screen, you can click the three dots button from the example above to add, delete, or edit changes to the job categories.
Before starting, make sure you have made a complete backup and check to make sure everyone is out of CLIP.

Left click "Files", hover over "Global Replacement", and left click on "Replace Information."
Left click to select the "Job Data Base."
Left click "Choose Field."
Move the grey slider down until you see the "JB.Category" field, and left click it.
Left click "Replace With."
In the box, type the job category in the field.
Left click "OK."
Left click "Choose Condition", and double left click "JB.Job Number."
Double click "Equals."
Enter the job number into the step 3 box and then hit the enter key on your keyboard.
Left click "Use This Condition."
Click "Perform Replacement."
Once it is finished, CLIP will show how many replacements it made at the top right of the screen.
