If you or your company is currently using the CLIP Desktop version of CLIP -- this is an old version that was sunsetted as of January 1, 2018. This means that we will not be able to offer support on this program, which includes answering questions about using the program, servicing or networking the program.
Software gets old, and in software years desktop is ancient. The changes that Microsoft makes to Windows as well as the anti-virus software and other systems that you use on your computer, are becoming incompatible with CLIP Desktop.
We want you to continue using CLIP without problems and interruptions. This necessitates an upgrade on your part.
You have two options:
CLIPxe - this would be an upgrade to your current program with newer technology built in. It would be similar to the desktop in that you install it, manage your own updates, and backups etc... You would have access to using CLIP2Go to track your crews and give them a way to record their times on their phones or tablets. There are many, many upgrades in this program to what you currently have and we are sure you will be pleased with the additional power and functionality.
CLIPitc - We can take your current data from desktop and push it up to the "Cloud". This is CLIPitc - completely in the cloud. What that means to you is that you no longer have to maintain a network, a LAN, backups, updates, problems with your setup, and anti-virus..... All of your data is available from any device that can access the internet (computer, laptop, tablet, iPhone, android....) You have access to your CLIP from anywhere in the world if you have an internet connection.
Both of these programs are a subscription-based pricing. You have no more commitment than one month at a time. The pricing varies based on the size of your company and the number of employees who will be accessing it. Please see our website www.clip.com for the current pricing of CLIPitc plans.
